The Palestine Laboratory podcast launches
A 4-part investigative series that reveals how Israel exports repression globally
I’m excited to announce the release of The Palestine Laboratory podcast, inspired by my global best-selling book of the same name.
This has been 12 months in the making (though I’ve been reporting on the issue for years). The 4-part series is being released by the great US independent media outlet, Drop Site News (founded by fine journalists including Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Grim and veterans of The Intercept).
Her’s the video trailer:
Here’s the audio trailer:
Here’s my introductory essay for the podcast series.
It’s been a collaborative project and I’ve been blessed working with many talented producers, journalists, researchers, sound mixers, artists, designers and editors from across the globe. I’ve detailed some of those remarkable people here:
Go to Drop Site News and subscribe to its podcast feed wherever you get your podcasts. You can binge all 4 episodes now if you’re a paid-up supporter of Drop Site News (or they’ll be releasing one episode per week for free starting this week).
For a taster, here’s Episode 1:
This is an incredibly grim time in the world. I know and feel it. Anyone with an ethical pulse feels the same way. It’s vital to get this message out to the world so more people understand what the Palestine lab means for humanity.
Please share far and wide.

My recent work has largely focused on the worsening disaster in the Middle East and I’ve spoken to media outlets including CNN, Al Jazeera English, Sky News and SBS News. There’s a small selection of my interviews below and you can see the rest on my website and YouTube channel:
Around the recent one-year anniversary of the brutal 7 October 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, I was interviewed by a number of outlets around the world about the significance of the event and how Israel’s monstrous response, in Gaza, Lebanon and beyond, is making the Jewish state, Jews globally, Palestinians, Lebanese and all humans far less safe:
My book, The Palestine Laboratory, was recently released in an Indian edition.
I’m in shock that the biggest English speaking newspaper in the country, The Times of India, has editorialised about it. In essence, it’s a book review that seems to endorse its narrative.
For a country that too often embraces Hindu nationalism, many Indian friends tell me that they’re pleasantly surprised with this major paper’s stance.
It’s moments like these when I realise that my book and work is really impacting huge numbers of people (in this case, the biggest nation on the planet) and hopefully guiding them to understand the Israeli state and its dangerous arms industry.
Here’s the editorial, published on 5 October:
In other news:
Following the recent release of the Turkish edition of my book, here are two recent interviews in Turkish media;
Last weekend I went with my family to the Palestine rally in Sydney, Australia. I was interviewed by ABC News Australia about the meaning of Jewish dissent in a time of war.
Israeli-backed, theocratic Jewish “settlers” are causing chaos in the West Bank. This is an incredibly powerful and disturbing film by my friend, Matthew Cassel, recently out with the BBC, examining this clear and present threat to millions of Palestinians:
